Alexandra Stanley

Alexandra Stanley – Vocals
Alex has always been musically orientated, singing from a young age and throughout school and college where she stood out performing lead roles in a variety of shows that enabled her to gain a great deal of experience. Alex graduated in Performance from Northumbria University where she was able to further her experience as a singer. Highlights included performing at the award winning ‘Sage’ in Gateshead. Since leaving University, Alex has continued on various musical paths within her career; such as performing live music abroad and at some of the most famous live venues in and around London. Alex’s career now focuses on writing and recording new material. She works in collaboration with various signed Artists and Producers across an eclectic range of genres. She also performs live gigs in and around Leeds with numerous artists and DJ’s in addition to her incredible work with The Beat Collective. Alex’s powerful vocal tone; along with her charismatic performance style make her a superb front woman in every sense.
Andy Gallagher

Andy Gallagher – Guitar
As an alumnus of the Leeds College of Music, Andy holds both a BTEC (ND) in Popular Music and a Degree (BA HONS) in Popular Music, with over 10 years experience in rock and pop music. Since graduating, Andy has set up his own private guitar tuition business (www.yorkshiremusician.co.uk), teaching guitar to pupils of all ages and abilities in York and Leeds, as well as setting up and running The Beat Collective. His other projects involve playing bass in The Total Stone Roses and Oaysis, tribute bands to two of Manchester’s leading bands (See links page). Andy also plays weddings and functions as a classical guitar player, as well as being involved in studio work as a guitarist.
Chris Young

Having graduated with a BA(Hons) Music Production degree from Leeds College of Music, Chris is the Course Leader for Music Practice at Doncaster College and lecturer on the Music Practice / Music Technology National Diplomas. He also works amongst the programming team at Leeds-based radio station ‘Radio Aire’ and produces the JK & Joel Reloaded Show. Chris also finds the time to run a successful recording and production company (www.isitaudio.com). Having trained as a pianist from the age of 7, Chris has grown up playing in bands and ensembles. He loves combining his enthusiasm for music with his knowledge of technology; utilizing them fully whilst playing keys with The Beat Collective.
Tom Hobbs

Tom Hobbs – Drums
Tom has been drumming for over a decade, his talent underlined by the First he received in his performance module during his Degree (BA Hons) at the Leeds College of Music. As well as playing for the Beat Collective, Tom also performs as a pit drummer for local theatre ensembles in the Blackpool area. When not performing, Tom teaches Drums and Percussion privately around Lancashire, and is also a full time secondary school music teacher. Tom recently got married to long term girlfriend Leanne; it was a cracking wedding, and we should know, we’ve played a fair few.
Phil Hepworth

Phil Hepworth – Bass / BV’s
Although a bass player for The Beat Collective, Phil earns his living as a guitarist. Specialising in classical guitar, Phil is not only an avid performer at weddings, restaurants and functions, but also finds the time to teach classical guitar to young pupils in Yorkshire. He also teaches guitar and bass privately in the Leeds area. A fellow graduate of the Leeds College of Music, Phil also does session work; his talent and professionalism reflected in the studio work he has been involved with since graduating.
