Specsavers Revellers Party All Night

Monday, September 16th, 2013

the beat collective play specsavers coorporate gig in yorkshireThe Beat Collective have once again been busy this weekend. No weddings to speak of on this occasion, we were asked to play an event for Specsavers. We love playing these kind of events, particularly as the client chose the option of our extra Brass musicians for the evening. Suffice the say the event was a storming success, and we would be delighted to play for them at next years event after such positive feedback.

A trip to Edinburgh awaits us now, followed by another jam packed weekend, this time back on the wedding scene. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates. Newcomers to the site, don’t forget you can drop us a line via the contact page, where we will respond to any question or enquiry.

Thursday, August 1st, 2013

Its been a fantastic Summer 2013 so far for The Beat Collective, with an unprecedented amount of weddings and functions being played. Such is the demand that we are already taking bookings for 2014, so please dont hesitate to get in touch for a quote for you party or function. We are also now taking bookings for Christmas 2013, so please get intouch if you would like a live band to play your staff Christmas party. Don’t forget, The Beat Collective include the Ipod Disco service free of charge when you book us, saving potentially hundreds of pounds on hiring a DJ alongside.

If you would like to know if we are available for your date, please get in touch via the contact form, either by email or telephone/text.

Its been another busy few weeks for us. However, outside of plaing for The Beat Collective, theres been a wedding of our own to shout about; our drummer Tom recently got married to the lovely Leanne, and they are now on their honeymoon in America. As a wedding drummer of many years, Tom knew exactly what makes a wedding run smoothly, and they put on a superb day. Massive congratulations to Tom and Leanne. New Demos Online

Monday, July 8th, 2013

Finally the new demos have arrived. The final mixes are complete and The Beat Collective now have our new demos online. Please check out the media player to the right hand side of each page and let us know what you think. We’re very happy with them and think they sound great.

Of course, we’re still extremely proud of our previous demos. As our media player only allows 5 songs on at any time, we will be setting up a Sound Cloud page soon and posting the link on the webpage, so you can hear all the demo’s in full. Theres some absolute classics on there. Will look at having it online within the next few days

Demo now due July 3rd

Tuesday, June 18th, 2013

Our long awaited new demo has been delayed ever so slightly, and is now due early July. July 3rd to be precise. We at The Beat Collective want the demo to sound as good as it possibly can so you get an accurate representation of just what you get when you book us for your wedding or function. So although we are eager to get it online ASAP, we are glad so much hard work is going into the final mix.

The demo is being mixed by the fine people at Alive Network studios. They are working on some huge projects at the moment, so we look forward to hearing the finished product in a few weeks time. We love what we’ve heard so far and are eager to share our finished product with you all.

Keep watching this space……………

New Demo Almost Complete

Friday, May 17th, 2013

studio1Yesterday, Alex and Andy travelled over from Leeds to Stoke and returned to the Alive Network studios to add the finishing touches to the new demo. After spending the day with in house producer Tom, the acoustic guitar part to Rolling in the Deep by Adele was laid down, as well as lead and backing vocals to the other three tracks – we even managed to convince some of the Alive Network staff to join us in the vocal booth to lay down the all important ‘hand claps’ to a few of the tracks. The demo is due to be mixed within the next few weeks, meaning the 4 track demo should be complete within the first few weeks of June. We cant wait for you to hear the finished product, it sounds fantastic even at this early stage. Here is the track listing in full:

  • Locked Out Of Heaven – Bruno Mars
  • Rolling In The Deep – Adele
  • Johnny B Goode – Chuck Berry
  • Respect – Aretha Franklin

We will be putting the demos up on our Media player, which can be found on the right hand side of every page on this website. Furthermore, we will be introducing a SoundCloud page, which will include our previous demos (which we still love) once the new ones are put up. It will also feature excerpts from our Solo Piano player and our Classical Guitarist. Don’t forget to visit our What We Offer page for more information on both these options.

We’ll keep you posted on how the mixing goes in the next few weeks. In the meantime, please check out our other demos in our media player.

Thanks

Andy
