the beat collective yorkshires finest funciton and wedding band play a private party in shropshire with a great fireworks display

The last few weeks have been a busy time for The Beat Collective, Yorkshires finest wedding and function band. One of the most interesting and fun in recent times was at a 21st birthday party in Shropshire. Held in the back garden of the clients, there was a marquee dedicated to the performance of The Beat Collective, a barn complete with a bar, showcasing our performance on a big screen, a hog roast with all the trimmings, a tuck shop, a bouncy castle and an enormous firework display at the end of the night, as well as a fire juggler. Suffice to say, we had a fantastic night and it was a pleasure to be part of the twins special birthday evening.

Last weekend saw us play a wedding in Wakefield, Yorkshire, whilst this weekend we travel down the M1 to Derbyshire for a wedding. Things are really picking up now the wedding season is in full flow and long may it continue.

the beat collective take a break from being a wedding band to play a corporate event in edinburghThe Beat collective took a break from weddings during the week and made the long trip up to Edinburgh, where we entertained some clients from Germany at the Grand Sheraton Hotel. The performance capped off a 3 day event at the hotel, which saw the room we performed in over see a number of ‘costume changes’, including a Braveheart, James Bond and finally a Sherlock Holmes theme.

As you can see from the photo, our stage was fully kitted out in Sherlock Holmes style, with The Beat Collective playing between real trees on the streets of Baker Street. The entire room was kitted out in this way, and the revellers were dancing all night to our set of classic and modern hits. Check out the panoramic image below (click on image for a larger view) to see the room in its entirety.
